Men Creating Peace

Men Creating Peace

Description

Men Creating Peace provides classes in Anger Management and Violence Prevention to men age 16 years and older. Certified through Alameda County Probation, Men Creating Peace offers a 52 week Batterer’s Treatment class and an alternative 20- 26 week class for men who need to address Intimate Partner or Family Violence and issues with expressing their anger through abuse or violence. Men gain tools to help them stop their abuse from the very first class, learning communication and active listening skills, as well as tools for creating more peaceful relationships. Classes are designed to hold men accountable for their abusive behaviors, develop awareness of the different forms of abuse, and the impact it has on in others in a nurturing, compassionate and structured group setting.
