CalWORKs


Description

If you are an adult with dependent children, you may be eligible for CalWORKs. CalWORKs provides financial support and a variety of services to help you get back on your feet and into the workforce. An employment specialist will work with you to follow an individualized employment plan. Even after you have found a job and no longer need cash assistance, you can receive support to pay for child care, transportation and follow-up services available to help you stay employed and move to better paying work. Eligibility:

Adults with dependent children or a teenager or adult who is pregnant may be eligible for CalWORKs. Eligibility for benefits depends on a number of factors, including family size, income, property, and special needs. Immigrants and their families may also be eligible for services
