Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI) is an evidence-based treatment that teaches inmates how to identify and change destructive thought patterns, which have a negative influence on behavior. CBI curriculum focuses on a goal-oriented treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem solving that transforms thinking patterns and behaviors. CBI modalities are offered in the following areas: - Substance Use Disorder Treatment - Anger Management - Criminal Thinking - Family Relationships.

Eligibility:
Have between six months to five years left to serve. Be identified with a criminogenic need for CBI modalities;and Be placed on the appropriate waiting list by the Classification Committee, based on the California Static Risk Assessment and Correctional Offender Management Profiling for alternative sanctions assessment.
